Lessons from a Horse

#TripPics ok y’all, meet Possum- my ginger haired stubborn ass twin! 🤣♊️ Riding inside a forest was pretty dope! But Possum was acting up, walking close to his friend, made his own paths, bucked when I steered, cut in line coming back to the stalls, just doing the most! 🤦‍♀️

My bestie after shared her revelation on Psalms 32:9 “Do not be like the horse which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit & bridle or they will not come to you.”

I thought about this for a min, thought God would teach me about stubbornness or going the right way, but nah He’s much deeper than that 🤯🙌

Possum started out irritated, testing his limits bucking, going his own path, (which was slow & more effort btw), raced to get done & back in.

Oh God, so like me when life gets too routine? I brush off what’s steering me- prayer, study, & worship, I get prideful, relaxed in my flesh & start my own paths, (might step in some 💩 even) & always in a rush for my comforts instead of finishing the job (the race- Galatians 5:7)?

God said yeah, when you walk without me everything is extra effort. I know the path, the timing, the detours, & the end. You are in a rush! You are uncomfortable! Your lesson is to stay present in My Presence & enjoy the ride OF Me WITH Me! 😧🤯

A horse cannot understand this, like the verse, he is led by force. But you daughter, are created with a will, a desire to SEEK Me for Kingdom understanding so you happily & lovingly submit to me & let me lead you. Not by force, not by how you feel that day, not by your own understanding…simply by what I’ve made known to you- in my Word, thru my Son & Spirit!

Trust Me to lead you. Even if you lose sight or cant hear me, walk straight on the narrow path following my directions. I am IN those moments. Live in & enjoy the present; don’t miss my details, my detours, my scenery. Everything I designed speaks to you! Don’t be in a rush for answers or comfort- I am the answer, I am the comforter! Only I can see the road ahead of you!

Annd now I get this verse! #EnjoyTheRide

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord…lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, & he will make your paths straight."
